The system boundary is clear: what matters is a suitable gateway reliably transmitting the required data to EnergyCloud, for example from M-Bus, Wireless M-Bus or OMS environments.
Monthly consumption information
A 3% reduction risk. Month after month.
Where remotely readable equipment is installed, tenants must receive monthly information about heating and hot-water consumption. If the required information is missing or incomplete, users may generally reduce their allocated cost share by 3%.
Across several thousand units, a small percentage can quickly become a relevant financial and administrative risk.
The risk is not limited to annual billing: the underlying information obligation recurs every month.

Move-ins and move-outs during the year normally mean degree-day tables, manually recorded interim readings and laboriously allocated costs – error-prone and time-consuming. In EnergyCloud, the move-in and move-out dates are all that is needed: the system assigns consumption to the exact day and automatically creates an error-free billing item.
A unit connects the tenancy period, assigned tenant and all metering points in one shared data structure.
CO₂ cost allocation
The ten-step model becomes part of the billing workflow.
After entering energy source, quantity and CO₂ costs, EnergyCloud calculates landlord and tenant shares and shows classification and calculation basis in the bill.
